Jackson and I had a sick day today. The real reason is that Vanessa needed the day off, but Jackson has had a nasty cold for the past week, so the extra rest couldn't hurt.It started off well and good. I got some laundry done and put dinner in the crock pot while he played with his trains and blow-up car. We also picked up a package from the post office and made a Walmart run. I was marveling at my ability to play the part of a stay-at-home mom (which, honestly, I would love to do if we could make it work) until reality hit me like one of Nesta's prized school buses. Jackson turned his nose up at lunch, then refused to nap.
Eventually, I resorted to taking a drive to get him to sleep.
I'm crossing my fingers that this afternoon goes as smoothly as the morning.

I'm glad he finally napped for you and I hope the afternoon went well. There are days I think to myself, I would love to stay at home and others that I literally count down the hours until I get to go to work. I must admit that the days I'm home-I usually think about how great it is.
I hope he is feeling better and hope your afternoon went well too.
