It's time for another monthly update! We've reached another milestone as he'll be spending the weekend with Nana and Papa while Howard and I go away for our anniversary. It will be his first time sleeping without us, and we hope he does okay. Here are a few other Jackson nuggets:
- It looks like he cut the first of his two-year molars, the one on the lower left. He still fights brushing his teeth with all his might, though.
- He's started referring to himself by name. He'll say "that's Kela" when he sees himself in a picture or "Kela's bed" when choosing where he wants to sleep.
- He's learned to put his Crocs on and proudly announces "I did it!" when he does so. For awhile, the shoes would end up on the wrong feet, but now he's got that figured out. He insists on putting the strap forward (rather than behind his ankle), but he's not quite able to walk when he wears them this way.
- Croissants are a new favorite.
- He also loves birthday cake and asks to eat it and blow out candles all the time.
- His likes pretending to be a race car and racing us around the house. He even makes an engine sound as he runs.
