We took another trip to the zoo today. Of course, our first stop was to see the elephants.

Jackson was in a mellower mood than usual, probably because we went close to naptime. This gave us the opportunity to stroll him past some exhibits we haven't seen before, such as the nene sanctuary.

Some other animals we saw active for the first time were the tortoises, gharials and a gazelle.

But the highlights of the visit weren't captured on film (mostly due to the difficulty of photographing through barriers). The hippo came up to the glass, opened his mouth and bared his teeth right at Jackson and a few other children. An angry chimp bumped the wall near us. And we watched the new tiger cubs play, which was both cute and exciting.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I can not wait until it is warm again here so we can take Sean to the zoo!
