Jackson had poi for dinner, and while it is one of his favorite foods, this was his first opportunity to feed himself. And he went to town. He stuck his fingers in the bowl, clapped his hands together, and rubbed them all over his face, shirt and hair. What a mess!
Poi was actually the first solid food Jackson tried. We introduced it when he was about 5.5 months old. He wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but he grew to really love it.
