Dan and Foofa

The kids' choices of Halloween costumes this year should shock no one who knows what they like. Jackson was Dan Kuso, the main character in the Bakugan Battle Brawlers series.  And Macy was Foofa.

Both donned their costumes at daycare, and Jackson participated in a costume parade at school.  Although parents weren't explicitly invited, I crashed the event and snuck a few pictures. (A couple other kindergarten moms did, too, so I wasn't the only rule-breaker.)  Sadly, I missed the money shot during the parade, but I took a few of him sitting during the assembly and trying not to dance.

Jackson was eager to show off his costume, usually assuming the battle pose.  Officer Nesta was equally excited about his costume.

Here are the pumpkins, acquired from the pumpkin patch and hastily carved the day before.

Macy was intrigued by the jack-o-lanterns and extremely tolerant of her costume.  She walked up to a few houses for treats and held tightly to her bag while in the stroller, but she grew tired of trick-or-treating once the crowds developed. Fortunately, Jackson also announced he "had enough candy" after about 45 minutes, so both were content to go home on the early side.
