I Want Candy

Easter started a few days early with the arrival of a box of goodies from Emma, Aunty Laura and Uncle Martin. Jackson demonstrated superhero dexterity by snatching and ingesting a couple of jellybeans before Howard and I even knew they were there!

A couple of days later, Jackson and I went to a matinee of Hop. As shown in the movie, the Easter Bunny left the kids' baskets on the doorstep.  Jackson liked his dinosaur coloring book and egg of candy, while Macy seemed most intrigued by her water bottle and toothbrushes.

This was the first year Jackson got to color eggs, and he enjoyed dying lots of green eggs.  For the safety of everyone involved, this activity coincided with Macy's nap!

We had to wake her up a bit early to start the egg hunt, so she wasn't quite as excited about it at first.  Eventually, we coaxed her into putting a few eggs in her basket.

On the other hand, Jackson was a pro!  He wisely opted to use two baskets and managed to fill them both.

What an awesome treat-filled day!
