Me Two
Two years ago, I went to the hospital to (as Jackson would say) "lay" Macy. Recently, Macy has taken to referring to herself as "me." Today, we celebrated "me" turning two with a low-key celebration at home.
We began celebrating earlier in the week as packages arrived. At first, Jackson helped her open her gifts, but she caught on quickly. By the time Nana, Papa, Aunty Moani and Nesta arrived, she knew what those pretty boxes and bags contained. Macy was bombarded with dolls and doll accessories, leaving her equipped with everything she needs to care for her babies. Jackson and Nesta also enjoyed pushing the babies in the stroller and rearranging the furniture in the dollhouse.
Of course, she also got some of her favorite Yo Gabba Gabba characters, Brobee and Foofa. We even made her a "pink and happy" cake in tribute to the beloved Foofa.
Jackson beat her to the punch in terms of blowing out the candles, but she didn't mind. She was thrilled just to eat the cake.
