While Howard was away, I took the kids to stay at Nana and Papa's house for a few days. We swam in the pool, ate lots of pancakes and scones and failed at getting Jackson's hair trimmed. We also sought refuge from the heat at the mall, where Jackson climbed all over the play area. Macy was less impressed with the structures, but easily entertained by a free balloon.
Since Jackson has been learning about God and the bible at school, I thought going to church might reinforce some of those lessons. But he had no patience for sitting through the service, and we spent most of our time playing outside near the fountain.
And no weekend at Nana and Papa's house would be complete without a trip to Papa's Park. Macy rode the swing for the first time, and not surprisingly, she loved it.
