Howard's birthday gift this year was a weekend getaway in Waikiki. Macy enjoyed her new surroundings, and Jackson was treated to another visit by the "pancake man."
We timed our mini-vacation up with the beginning of Aunty Laura, Uncle Martin and Emma's visit. We spent time at the beach and pool, where Jackson went in a hot tub for the first time, and Macy couldn't get enough of splashing in the water.
We also played tourist and ate some yummy food at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center food court, Cheesecake Factory and Mac 24-7.
Not surprisingly, all the excitement wore the kids out. Howard and I were pretty exhausted, too. Family fun is hard work!
