Due to Howard's unexpected layoff, Jackson was lucky to spend a bit more quality time with his daddy. They went to the beach, played at the park and generally had a great time. They even developed a routine of dropping me off and picking me up from work, prompting Jackson to recognize "mommy work."
Jackson's vocabulary continues to grow, and he's even using 2-3 word phrases here and there. For example, he'll say "daddy cook" or "go outside, play."
But my favorite thing to come out of Jackson's mouth these days is "huh?!" Whenever we ask him something that he can't understand or doesn't know the answer to, that's his response.
Other developments:
- He's started reciting the alphabet with us and also enjoys when we count together, though he only likes the numbers 2 and 4
- Cheese, corn and fruit are favorite foods
- Current favorite toys are his mower, singing Spiderman and the bat he borrowed from Nesta
- He's discovered the fun of stickers and has started coloring all over the house
